The main hexagram for this week is 57: Gentle Penetration and with the fourth, fifth and sixth line changing the transformation hexagram is 32: Duration.
Have you ever lit an incense in a room? Initially it seems like you can only smell it where you have lit it but slowly it seems like the fragrance permeates through the entire room and makes your whole home smell wonderful. It is the same when you consider the energies of the hexagram 57: Gentle Penetration. This hexagram is made from the two trigrams which are wind over wind.
When you first think of wind, it may come across as a very weak force. We typically don’t think of wind as being able to cause much change- but think again! When wind is directed in a particular direction, it can become very powerful. The image that immediately comes to mind is of the tall oak which breaks during strong winds whereas the soft and pliant grass, that was able to bend with the currents; continued to stand ground.
These are the lessons this hexagram provides and the energies for this week ask us to work carefully and diligently on our chalked out plans. Follow the plan and continue making small progress in that same direction. If you come across any obstacle then try to bend around it rather than face it head-on which will needlessly create resistance in your progress and flow!
The transformation hexagram further reinforces this notion- let the world shape itself as it will around you. But once you are sure of your chosen path as well as the tasks you have laid out to accomplish your goals and vision, then you simply continue on your path. Even if your progress is slow, over time it will accumulate and compound to amazing proportions.

Meditation image for this week:
The key image for this week’s meditation is a strong breeze blowing thru an open field. This breeze helps with spreading seeds and strengthening the plants to yield better grains. Also, the plants bend with the currents and so stand tall and stay their ground. The key wisdom from nature is: when we are flexible, we gain the strength of the wind to accomplish great things.
